Glow Plug Removal

Our custom made equipment provides the flexibility to perform glow plug removal on almost all makes of vehicles.

A glow plug is a cylindrical shaped metallic part with a heating element at the tip that are used in motor vehicles to aid the starting of diesel engines.

Stuck or broken glow plugs can be caused by carbon build up around the shaft, or thread bind between aluminum heads and glow plug threads.

​

Modern glow plugs are of a much thinner design to those in older diesel vehicles and allows for a much quicker heat up time.  

It does, however, mean the tip is very weak and can easily break when removed but is overcome by our custom equipment.
